How we research and rate apps
Every guide on AppReviewRadar follows the same process, so you know where our information comes from and what a rating means.
Our 4-step process
Pick apps people actually search for
We choose apps based on what readers ask about and what’s popular in India, not on which company pays the most.
Check official sources
Features, plans and prices come from the app’s own website, pricing page and help centre, checked on the date shown in each guide.
Compare with alternatives
We look at 1–2 competing apps so each guide can tell you if something cheaper or better exists.
Write simply, update often
We explain everything in plain English, and re-check guides when an app changes its features or prices.
How our rating works
Some guides give an app a rating out of 10. It is our editorial opinion, based on four things:
| Criteria | What we look at |
|---|---|
| Features | Does it do its main job well? How much do you get for free? |
| Value for money | How good the free plan is, and whether the paid plan is fairly priced for Indian users. |
| Ease of use | How simple it is for a beginner, based on the app’s design and official guides. |
| Privacy | What the app’s privacy policy says about your data, and how easy it is to delete your account. |
What we never do
- Accept payment for a guide or a higher rating
- Copy an app’s marketing claims as facts
- Hide the downsides of an app that pays us a commission
- Claim we did something with an app that we didn’t do
How we make money: some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This keeps the site free, and it never affects our ratings. Full affiliate disclosure.
